I use keyboard quite a lot. I think I spend around 10 hours each day creating something and texting with friends. But the keyboard I use is not good enough. I always have wrist pain after whole day of work being a Designer. Therefore, I look around different keyboards and find out most of them are not stylist, not functional and too heavy. I want to design a beautiful, portable, productive and comfortable keyboard.

So this began the tale of Designer Keyboard.

Less pain, more fun!

I know you love design and working hard. Your wrists, arms and hands are suffering every day.
After 1 year of research and testing, we find out some features that are good for our hands. Such as vertical key layout, wrist rest and 20 degrees of tenting. Specifically, split design keeps your wrists at a neutral angle.

Having used the new keyboard, hardly can we use normal keyboards again. We believe you’ll be one of us when you feel the difference.

Smart and work faster!

Two-handed work style means doing two things at the same time (navigating and commanding) and without having to switch between keyboard and mouse.

Working faster is very important. Unluckily, our right hand is often too busy. When we are using autocad or 3D software, we use right hand to type keyboard, and then switch to use mouse for navigating and commanding. This just wastes so much time!

When we started the design, we did not only design a keyboard. We tried to design a new work style and to match with other devices (3D mouse and trackpad).

So we studied many ergonomic keyboards, such as ergodox, dactyl and dactyl manuform to study their strengths. At the same time, we have modified a numpad to prototype for test every day.

We have created a lot of design in three parts: keyboard, thumb and wrist rest. And we have gone through a lot of testing models. We make each part better and better gradually. We share at keyboard forums and get their feedback for improvement. Of course, we must balance between function and aesthetics carefully. Making it simple and elegant.

Vex loves drawing since he was young. He studied Vusual Art and Graphic Design at HKCC PolyU.

His first job was being a Sales which he felt so bored and that he must change! Therefore, he went to India alone for 40 days.

This trip changed his life forever. He was touched by the architecture and realised his dream.
Then he studied Interior Design himself and becomes a designer.

Since he wants to improve further, he went to Paris for working holiday also traveling around Europe and North America. When he was in Rome, he found out the answer for the future of architecture. It is Zaha Hadid and Suprematism.

He wants to create incredible and beautiful thing like the Eiffel Tower, which is his dream.
